Congratulations to the 2022 Royal Court Queen Candidates: Macy Fisch, Zoe Webb, Rain Barthelman, & Brookelyn Hemsley King Candidates: Jack Clarahan, Cole Clarahan, Carter McCoid, & DJ Hammes Homecoming is October 3-8 The king & queen will be crowned on Wednesday evening during Boom Night, which will be held at Cobra Field after the parade.

The Sigourney Community School District will dismiss at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Extremely high humidity and heat are expected by mid-afternoon making teaching and learning difficult. Thank you.

During the month of September, the Sigourney Public Library will be making up care packages to send to deployed military members. To join forces with the Sigourney Public Library, our Sigourney HS National Honor Society members will also be collecting items for these military care packages. We are asking the Sigourney CSD to get involved and collect items to include in the packages. Packages will be mailed out on October 1st, so we will accept donations at the school until Friday, September 30th. The NHS students will set up collection boxes around the Jr./Sr. High building for you to place your donations. Some ideas include: *beef jerky or meat sticks *travel size hygiene items (shampoo, conditioner, deodorant) *snacks (things that won't get smashed or melt in transit) *sunblock and chapstick *socks *granola/energy bars *trail mix *single-serving drink mixes *easy mac *instant coffee *chewing gum *shaving cream and razors *hair ties *dental hygiene (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss) *puzzle books, magazines *air fresheners *unscented body wipes Any and all participants and donations will be welcomed. There is now self-paced courses through the AEA on obtaining your substitute authorization, To be eligible for this authorization you need to have the following completed first: Associates degree or 60 semester hours or higher AND THEN... completion of this substitute teaching authorization course.

Elementary Open House is 5-6pm on August 23rd. 7th Grade Orientation is also on the 23rd, from 6-7pm. We're excited to see you there!

Dear Parents, The student registration and fee links are available on the District's website. If you are unable to login to Infinite Campus, contact your school. Please contact Mr. Randy Schmidt, at Transportation (641-224-5420), if you plan to have your student(s) ride the bus.
