
The SCSD Board of Education is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Nathan Wood, pending final approval actions, as the next Superintendent of the Sigourney Community School District. Mr. Wood will be shared with GPAEA and will officially begin on July 1, 2026.

Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Students,
Due to potential for hazardous travel conditions this evening, the SCSD will have an early dismissal at 1:30 PM today, December 11, 2025, to ensure the safety of students and staff. The Winter Concert scheduled for tonight is cancelled and will be rescheduled. All practices / activities will conclude by 5:00 PM. An ice/snow mix is forecast to begin in the early evening.
