Rumor Control: A potential threat was quickly reported to administration and staff stemming from an off-campus social media exchange between two students. The Sheriff's Department has investigated and visited the Jr. Sr. High School and the individual. There is no credible threat or danger to anyone in our buildings. 1) The SCSD's Board of Education will place the District's Revenue Purpose Statement (RPS), part of the Secure an Advance Vision for Education (SAVE) program, before the public for a vote on March 7, 2023. An accompanying email will be shared containing an attached communication on this topic.
2) Sigourney CSD will have a (PK-12) 1:30 PM dismissal on Thursday, January 26, 2023, to accommodate Jr/Sr. High Parent Teacher Conferences , 3:00PM - 7:00PM. There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, January 27, 2023, to allow for ongoing staff professional development.
