12/26/22 (11:20 am) The SCSD's Jr/Sr High School parking lots and sidewalks have been cleared. Coaches will be allowed to resume the use of District facilities for practices. As of today, Dec. 26, 2022, road conditions around the schools have improved for daytime activities. Naturally, coaches, parents and students should use caution if driving to practices or events. Mr. Crawford and I will continue our daily communications regarding weather conditions and the use of District facilities. We will continue to update stakeholders regarding all weather-related decisions.

NOTE: Due to the dangerous weather conditions expected for our area over the next few days, SCSD's buildings will be closed starting at 6:00 PM this evening, Wednesday, December 21 through Friday, December 23. The district will assess all weather conditions and snow removal factors again Friday.

In support of the Sigourney-Keota Cobra Football Team's quarterfinal game against Van Meter, in Van Meter, Iowa, the SCSD will have a 1:30 PM early out on Friday, November 4, 2022. The Keota CSD will have an early release this Friday as well. Let's go SK Cobras!

Fire Prevention Week is October 9-15. Earlier this week K-3rd grade students visited the Sigourney Fire Station and learned about fire safety. On Tuesday, one student from each grade got a special ride to school in the fire truck. Thank you Sigourney Fire Dept for keeping our community safe and this opportunity for our students.
