The election paperwork and candidate guide for the upcoming November 4, 2025 election are linked on the left side of this page. Candidate paperwork must be filed with Jessica Meier, Business Manager/Board Treasurer. You may also visit the Secretary of State's website at https://sos.iowa.gov/school-elections.
KEY DATES:
August 25, 2025 -- 1st day paperwork can be filed
September 18, 2025 by 5:00 PM -- Last day paperwork can be filed
Bring completed paperwork to the district office (909 E Pleasant Valley, Sigourney).
Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 23 signatures using only the Nomination Petition form. Please do not use any other form. The Auditor's office encourages candidates to obtain more than 23 signatures in case signatures are challenged and subsequently thrown out. Requirements for petition signatures can be found in the candidate guide linked on the left side of this page.

It must be signed in the presence of a Notary Public.
